Terms of service.
Practical terms for UK trade businesses using Chippy.
Who these terms are with
These terms are between the subscribing business and Kian Wanner trading as Chippy. Contact Chippy at hello@askchippy.com. By creating an account or using a paid plan, you agree to these terms.
The service
Chippy is an AI-assisted office manager for enquiries, customer messages, diary planning and related administration. The subscribing trade business remains responsible for its work, prices, qualifications, availability, customer commitments and legal obligations.
Account responsibilities
- Provide accurate business rules, services, prices, working hours, qualifications and team permissions.
- Keep sign-in details, connected channels and approval links secure.
- Review requests that Chippy sends for confirmation and correct anything that is wrong.
- Use Chippy lawfully and provide any privacy information your customers need.
- Do not use Chippy for unlawful, abusive, deceptive or high-risk activity.
AI and customer communications
AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Chippy is designed to use approved business information, live diary data and guarded tools, but the business must maintain those inputs and supervise the service. Chippy is not an emergency service or a substitute for professional technical, legal, medical or safety advice.
Plans, trial and payment
Plan prices, included enquiry allowances, billing frequency and any taxes are shown before checkout. A free trial lasts for the period shown during sign-up. Paid subscriptions renew until cancelled. The secure billing portal can be used to change payment details or cancel a subscription. Chippy will not silently charge for extra enquiry credits: a credit pack always requires an explicit decision.
Availability and changes
Chippy aims to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of networks, messaging providers, AI models, maps or payment systems. Features may change to improve safety, compliance or usefulness. Material changes to these terms will be notified reasonably in advance where practical.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, the business is responsible for trade work and customer commitments. Chippy is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by inaccurate business data, unauthorised account use, third-party outages or using AI output without appropriate review. Any cap or exclusion applies only to the extent permitted by law.
Cancellation and account closure
Cancelling billing and closing an account are separate. You can cancel a paid subscription through secure billing. The owner can permanently close the whole account from Account & billing only after an exact typed warning and a fresh one-use confirmation link sent to the currently verified mobile. Closure immediately stops Chippy, disconnects channels, revokes access and cancels an active subscription. Export anything you need first. Data is then handled under the privacy notice, including the three-year operational retention period.
Suspension and termination
Chippy may suspend access for non-payment, unlawful or abusive use, a security risk or a serious breach. Where practical, Chippy will explain the issue and allow a reasonable opportunity to fix it. Immediate action may be needed to protect customers, the service or others.
Contact and law
Questions, complaints and formal notices can be sent to hello@askchippy.com. If you need to send something by post or formally serve a notice, email that address for the current correspondence details. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and disputes are subject to its courts, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
